26 November 00 - Farmclub & Circus Magazine

Also, at circusmagazine.com/page4.html, you can vote on the year's top rock star. Jay Gordon is one of the choices. So go make your vote.

20 November 00 - New Management
Orgy has been dropped The Firm, the management for bands such as Korn and Limp Bizkit, and have now signed on with AGM (Andy Gould Management), who manages Powerman 5000, Rob Zombie, Linkin Park, and Static-X, among others. They were dropped, according to Ryan, due to The Firm's unreal expectations of Vapor Transmission sales.

ABOUT ORGY:

Orgy...the best of all music, the dieties of the futuristic metal scene are:

jay gordon: vocals
amir derakh: guitar-synth
ryan shuck: guitar
paige haley: bass
bobby hewitt: drums

Orgy, the first act signed to KoRn's Elementree Records label, was formed basically by five exceedingly talented guys from So Cal who came together and made the musical perfection we hear on their debut album, Candyass. Candyass was released in 1998, and proved to be one of the better rock/metal releases of the decade. Though generally overlooked by the condemned social slaves of the pop industry, Candyass was able to produce "Blue Monday" and "Stitches" whose videos were more well known than the songs themselves to the pop world. These videos became MTV favorites, expecially that for "Stitches" which was able to make it onto TRL, though it never hit number one. We do believe that MTV is evil, but still give them credit for integrating Orgy's "death pop" into the pop dominated countdown. Orgy's other success was "Revival" featuring Jonathan Davis of KoRn and Elijah Blue of Deadsy. This song was made popular by the 1998 Family Values tour. Orgy dropped their sophomore CD, Vapor Transmission, on October 10th, 2000.
